Optum Employees Find Fulfilling Project in Building Beds for Local Kids
"The volunteer activity was so fulfilling to complete!"

Teams grew closer through the shared experience of giving hands-on community service together, and everyone enjoyed the satisfaction of making a meaningful difference.
Working with Generus was such a positive experience. The volunteer experience was so fulfilling to complete and I’m excited to watch as the beds we assisted in building get delivered to families in need. - Becca Ercolani, Optum Employee

A Positive, Fulfilling Employee Experience
On Friday, September 20, one hundred Optum employees gathered in a parking lot donated by Tasty Burger and built beds for children in need in the greater Boston area.
After an initial training and organizational session, Optum teams spent more than four hours on a beautiful, 80 degree September day drilling, sanding, staining, and assembling headboards and footboards. Generus teamed up with local volunteer organizations to help Optum make sure that "no kid sleeps on the floor" in Boston and Middlesex counties.
